Hello!
It's early tuesday morning and I am sleepyyyyy.
I just want to talk about the bahas weekend which went so well, alhamdulillah!
Though we had to wake up early both days, our energy remained high, the spirits weren't dampened and best of all we still managed to bond even while busy running around doing errands.
Big thank you to everyone who helped; including the staffs of MDIS, Pengerusis, Penjaga masas, Wakil sidangs, Penilais.
God bless!
Day 1- Saturday 12th March 2016
On the first day, I reached late and missed a stop hahahah that was something.
So when I finally did reach I was tasked to take care of F&B for a bit.
Simultaneously the wakil sidangs were asked to prepare their sidangs which includes shifting tables, pasting signages, arranging logistics, and just making sure everything was in place.
And I was there at the foyer waiting for students to come to my new canteen, slightly worried if my sidang was unprepared.
But lo and behold, the amazing team helped each other out and managed to prepare ALL 10 sidangs in 50 minutes which was darn impressive (the sidangs were not near to each other & there was only like 5 or 6 of them I think)
So while on duty, I got the honour of greeting and feeding (not literally) the contestants and interacting with them, and also meet some ex-debators which was great.
And it was nice seeing the lovely st gab's boys and alsagoff girls whom we met prior during bengkel bahas at their schools.
Also, meeting again my group 3 members from when we played games during taklimat & bengkel bahas.
It was cool and some of them called me cikgu.... hahahaha
And so the crazy day started with me taking care of sidang 8 (while multitasking to the max); witnessing Pasir ris crest sec VS East spring sec.
Pretty impressive for a first match and for (mostly) first timers!
Lunch happened (where zaharah and me went for iced coffee aiseh thank uuu) and preparation for round 2 began where once again, the team proved to be efficient with shabs doing her rounds and zaharah just proving herself to be so helpful and quick!
Round 2 saw me making a switch to sidang 6 for Anglo chinese VS St gabriel (ayy boys vs boys)
This was an interesting one as half of them were Indonesians (and you know I love hearing Indonesians talk) so I was treated to a mass of melodious argument hahahaha thank you.
Ended the day sitting hours in Macs with the gang before we each dragged ourselves homeeeee.
//thursday night//
Ha I was lazy to complete that post.
2nd day was no less fun!
In fact it was more fun as I got to take care of Sidang 1 and 2, and got to run around preparing the sidangs hahaha.
Best of all, all the sidangs had their own pengerusis which made our jobs much easier, AND we got to make new friends :')
We ended up having another ice cream party but at MDIS itself.
Ahh I miss saringan already!
But two days from now we'll be witnessing the quarters, which is no less exciting!
(Why am I using the phrase "no less" that makes no sense)
Anyway Sting is retiring.
(That was not a poem)
Carlito is rumoured to return.
Reyrey looks happy in his new "home" but i'm not complaining because like the meet and greet's special guest is reyrey which is... come onnnn, Sold!
Just got home from a 5 hours adventure at city square haha.
Hopped from pizza hut to a weird cafe to macs because we wanted to talk and not walk.
Anyway i'm planning to head to MI to visit MCS tomorrow but it's at 9 and it's at MI pffft.
See first la huh.
Aside from all that I need to catch up on my Spanish revision (dude gue serius oke hahah)
As of now I am 28% fluent hahahah this is exciting!
By the end of this month I will understand half of what reyrey says.
And for that I deserve more ice cream.
Adeu ^^
