What to do with raya money

Hello!
So I was wondering what to do with my raya money.
I haven't really counted it cause i'm too lazy.
So I tried to google, but nothing came up!
Therefore being a good Samaritan,
(more like martian)
I shall make a blogpost about it.
i'm not trying to convince or force, it's just what I would do with mine
Enjoy

1) Buy durable products

(durable good or a hard good is a good that does not quickly wear out, or more specifically, one that yields utility over time rather than being completely consumed in one use)

Okay firstly I know most cosmetics don't have a shelf life of more than three years, but I shall consider it durable because you don't really use them up so fast.
Make up is almost like a daily necessity
(not like we kids who actually get raya money needs it everyday)
And it's a great investment.
Like in the wise words of most beauty gurus, you should invest in (if you're planning to wear makeup often)
a good set of brushes and foundation.
and you know they don't cost a penny!
It's just an idea.
Or...
you could just beg your parents to spend 200$ for your sake.
durable products are more worth it as you don't have to spend as often on the same thing.

Tip: Research for reviews on products you've always wanted to try, and for makeup, go to stores like sephora, face shop, watsons or guardian to try them on yourself before you buy it. I also believe in daiso and sasa for products like eyeliner.

2) Buy toys your parents never allowed you to as a child

I personally acknowledge the importance of toys.
As a kid, my parents (most of the time) would say that they would rather buy me food and clothes than toys.
But now I have a baby sister, I try to encourage my parents to buy her toys.
because I think that toys are the first step to mould one's imagination.
I mean you can give your children a million books about ABCs and 123s, but imagination and creativity don't come from those books and you know it.
I know no children under the age of 10 reads blogs, but you, 20 year old man can go get that baby alive doll you've always wanted.

Tip: Buy toys that you know you will play with often, and not only once and then abandon it.
Visit different stores to look for the best buy.

3) Shop for random stuff/Complete your wishlist

Not all of us are privileged, to be able to get the stuff we want when we ask for it.
Sometimes we struggle to save because it's usually almost impossible
(but it's not, it's just time consuming)
the raya money is like payday.
You've earned it, you use it.
Like, last week you walked by a shop selling this really cool T-shirt that you could foresee being your top for the next 400 outings,
but you couldn't buy it.
Now's the time to do it!
As for me, I have tons of stuff in my wishlist.
I know the raya money won't probably cover all of them.
But I can prioritize and buy the one i desperately wanted/needed/dreamt about
YOLO

Tip: go to thrift stores or places like cash converters to get stuff at lower prices.
It may not be the best quality, but if you never try, you never will know ;)

4) Buy gifts for anyone

No don't blast me just yet.
I know it's YOUR money and you should rightfully spend it on yourself.
But come to think of it, giving is always better than receiving.
When you buy someone something and see them smile and get so appreciative, you get all warm and fuzzy inside.
You'll make someone's day, surprise them and in return you make yourself happy.
For me, I like to walk around random places and buy cute things for my family and friends.
Like when I see a really nice brooch worth bargaining for, i'll just grab it.
but usually it's my school pocket money which technically is my parent's one.
and what's the best money source than the raya money you've worked SO hard to earn
;)

Tip: You don't necessarily have to buy them what you think they want; it's the thought that counts

5) Save it

The best way to make full use of the money you get is to put all of them in a safe.
Or your bank, whatever.
Then you continue your daily savings.
Think of the money as a start-up grant.
Then you can finally get the camera you've dreamt all day and night about.
Or that chanel purse
Probably would have to wait longer but it will come true someday.

Tip: If you desperately need to buy something, be sure to divide your money wisely and save a portion. A little goes a long way.

Okay i'm out of ideas.
When I get them i'll update this post.

In the meanwhile, I hope you guys have a blessed hari raya-
Oh who am i kidding.
I hope you guys get more green packets in times to come.
Goodluck in your pursuit to get your dream stuffs.
 Adeu ^^
