Passport to FUN

Hello!

Okay i'll start with Saturday's affairs.
Spent the whole day hanging out at home until nighttime came and me and chiqa rushed to grandma's place to meet STYLO (or in that case, Y and O because the other two were losers who didnt come hahaha kidds)
We hovered at the pasar malam to buy some nonsense, where me and yana had been granted the purchasing power of 400 cents remaining.
Then we spent the rest of the night playing pick-up sticks and made videos of freestyle rapping and brown carpet interviews hahaha it was extremely fun.
Totally wanted to sleepover but we had plans early Sunday morning so bummerrrrr!

Sunday comes, as I was looking forward for it the whole week!
So we all know how often I frequent Sentosa the land of fun (that was a horrible sentence but we'll stick with that)
But when PPIS gave us 4 free play 5 fun passes (wait I hate this too many numbers)
Let's try again.
So PPIS gave us 4 free fun passes where we could select five out of thirteen attractions to go to without paying for any, we discovered that Sentosa is a lot more fun than it actually is; that is if you're willing to pay hundreds.
(Still doesnt undermine the status though, I just enjoy the place I have no idea why)
So Saturday night, we planned to leave home early the next day so we could get a good breakfast and then spend the whole day there.
But I woke up when mama screamed (not really screamed hahaha) "WAKE UP IT'S 9.30!)
And that commenced the beginning of Sunday.
Left home about 11, and we went to brunch at seah im and I listened to ghost stories by mama and anga hahahahah what a topic to converse about early in the day.
So then we went to collect our fun passes and headed into Sentosa where we began the day by entering Images of Singapore.
Anga was laughing at the actors the whole time (not in a mocking way, just entertained) and saying that it's such a weird job and that the people had to be extremely thick faced to execute their roles properly.
I thought it was a cool job though!
Although I can see it getting tiring repeating the same thing over again hahaha
And it WAS scary being alone in there eh?
It was fun travelling back in time, though I wasn't interested in Singapore's trading business (or any businesses in general hahaha)
Oh oh and there was this funny Indonesian batik lady mannequin who kept repeating the same lines and my favourite one was "This is one and only!" and I couldnt help but repeat after her omg that accent cracks me up!
Ended with a short boat ride before heading over to Madame tussauds.
It was fun, and oh Sentosa wasn't crowded at all which was amazing considering the fact that it was Sunday!
Met Kak sham who was working hahaha and heck it was a wild ride in there.
I boxed with Muhammad Ali, saw 3 michael jacksons (Hi Dee), joined ABBA as their 5th member, and saw the gorgeousness of Shah rukh khan upclose!
We ended the spree around 4pm and met Along and Kak sham outside where we made Along babysit Chiqa while we went to our next attraction.
Took the 4D extreme log ride and I know I always say this but we were the noisiest humans in there HAHAH but it was, as per its name, EXTREME!
(so extreme that that night, I couldn't fall asleep until 2 hours of tossing and turning and shutting and opening my eyes because everytime I close my eyes I felt like I was in that place)
Then we went to the Tiger sky tower (which Anga and Chiqa sat out of hahah) and enjoyed the view.
The haze seemed to have subsized by a lot, it was a beautiful sight and it was like afternoon so the sun was brilliant.
We then went to Siloso beach for Chiqa to play Megabounce and we lepaked there for a while.
Then me, mama and wana took the skyride a little after sunset and it was relaxing, so relaxing to the point that all of us forgot about the camera bahaha.
Met Anga on the other side after he sent Chiqa to along's workplace, and then we went for Desperados!
Omg I totally would have won if I hadn't SHOT THE WRONG TARGETS!!!
I was aiming at my number instead of the enemies because the instructions said "Look out for your numbers" hello miscommunication alert???
So Anga ended up getting 2nd among everyone in there, beaten by a lady sitting in the front row, and mama got and overall 3rd!!
Me and wana ended up in the top 8 though, such natural skills.
Hahahah then mama wanted to pass up Luge so me, wana and anga went while she took the skytrain back to Beach station.
I was comfortably in the lead when Wana screamed for me to wait for her and then Anga overtook me pffft Wana loser!
Hahaha it was fun though! (I KEEP SAYING FUN IM LAZY TO THINK OF SYNONYMS)
Although i've rode the skyride countless of times, it was my first time on Luge!
So after finishing 5 attractions, we went to watch Wings of time courtesy of Along.
The chill vibes there were highhh man I just love that place.
Ended the day with late dinner at Marry browns before heading home.
Needless to say it was a helluvan adventure, and I had a lot of (brace yourselves for this upcoming, original word) FUN!
Needless to say I had an amazing weekend with my loved ones.

And talking about loved ones, school is ending so soon and I can't imagine life without school!
I mean I can because my imagination is tiptop, but it's so weird to think about it.
I'm gonna miss schooling. (Not my current school, let me emphasize)

Right here right now, i'm feeling what Troy and Gabriella felt at the treehouse before they sang Right here right now.
(See what I did there hahahaa way to kill the mood!)
And yes, time, please slow down.
I would love to not grow so fast, thank you.
Life is exciting, but I also want to appreciate and cherish each stages and experiences of it.
So, let's make the most out of the remaining few weeks of prison (like 3 weeks?)
For me it's more than just working towards As, it's the end of yet another phase of education and it's the end of a place i've grown to dislike over the years.
But whatever, I still have a lit paper tomorrow!
Did I say how much I prefer exams in classrooms than in halls?
Because I do.
Alright, have an amazing week ahead!

Dream affairs

Hello!
I woke up from a nap feeling so many feels.
Hahah it's so weird slash extremely cool that I have more dreams in an hour's nap than a whole night of sleep.
Like I had 5 dreams just now and each one was so trippy AND one in particular made me experience extreme internal emotions (got external emotions also, dont ask)
In one, hornswoggle defeated tyson kidd (im very sure the prospect of that match had never once been thought of by mankind, but it just happened hahah)
And in another, a stranger who likes Britney spears said Demi was the new Britney and that she inspired her/his current hairstyle (I CANT REMEMBER THE GENDER I mean the hair and face looked like a girl's but I remember speaking to a guy)
Perhaps it was during the transition to the next dream so the figures were morphed and ey, cool.
Ahh, the beauty (or horror) of dreams.
And i'm pretty sure I was controlling the whole events in my dreams last night.
And then I got rudely awakened by a scary alarm I set prior.
Troye, thanks for waking me up with the halloweenish song.

Had an amazing day with my family yesterday!
I would have to blog separately in case this post gets too long.
Hahhaahah wait since when did I even care ;)
But still.
(Ughh fullstops are so hostile to humanity)

Anywho, last ever internal exam paper tomorrow before we (probably) face strings of mock papers and/or tests before facing the As.
And the dream-that-made-me-feel-feels makes me dread going school but whatevs.
I got a lot to work on haha let's do it.
Adeu ^^

Sometimes I look at you and sigh internally because you're so out of reach.

Breaks

Hello!
How much i've missed blogging, although it has always been a conscious decision to 'blog next time'.
September holidays are over.
Man that was a good week for me.
Any weeks away from school is good hahaha.
A few more weeks to graduation and I already miss classroom life!
Despite the endless struggles of staying awake and focused, looking around to see that everyone else is facing the same fate is just comforting.
Speaking of comforting, exams resume tomorrow and that is so not comforting.
I am so unprepared as usual (bummer) but ask me again in 2 months time I truly want to be able to say, "Bring it on."

September holidays went well although I cant really recall what I did...
I guess the highlights were bringing Chiqa to the library, lepaking at airport and a North pole reunion.
It was a good day although hazy but the wind was so windy (Hahaha.......)
Met yol at Jcube for iceskating which I always cringe at because ice skating is a very mundane activity after the first half hour passes.
But ok lah since it was with Yol and we were talking and disturbing kids that was alright.
(warning: that was not a compliment hahaha)
Then met Nelly at west coast where we played some nonsense which made us laugh so hard, I truly missed that about hanging out with them :')
What's a trip to west coast without playing the playground eh?
So we went, obviously.
In conclusion, (gah history) it was a good week albeit majorly sleep depriving.
I wasn't productive but I am happy.

To my future self,
Please take my advice and invest in your future, at least for now.
No matter how much you want to watch that Merell twins video or Miranda sings video or Super spontan All stars, (which I totally know you do) divert and grab some notes.
Effort never betrays, hopefully.
Not trying to mess your brain but you kinda got a lot of things to account for hahaha but mehh no big deal, baws.
Best of luck, and stay focused.
Be like an eagle not a crow.

Updates: What i've been up to

Hello!
In point form, cause my hand really hurts hahaha.
Besides missing the final year class and CCA phototaking, and the class picnic Ms choo planned for us, these are the things I did.

29 Aug
Spent the entire day at MBS for an audition with Wana, Mama, Chiqa, Painmat, Mak ngah and Siti, from 9.30am to 11pm.
Made a pitstop at Satay by the bay and played the fountain before resuming our activities at MBS.
Me and Ika were frustrated cause we didnt bring clothes AKA who cares we jumped right in.
And Wana tried to avoid the water by standing under the bucket needless to say both hers and Ika's phones got wet hahaha.

Also, Happy birthday Fatin xx

30 Aug
Was supposed to go for a Wedding flashmob dance rehearsal but Wana slept in till past 3pm!
Since I got ready before 2pm, I got an hour of nap and then woke up at 4 to leave for USS for NDP appreciation night.
Might I say, that was one of the best experiences ever cause i've always imagined being in USS at night and that's exactly what we did!
It was crowded, but the whole crowd is only worth one Waterworks show which means that queues for rides were short.
(I was skeptical that all rides would be open BUT THEY WERE so imagine my excitement!)
Rushed off to Puss in boots immediately since it's the newest ride and without thinking hopped on it.
It was a short ride but we enjoyed it hahaha the company really makes or breaks any outings.
I was with Wana, Eatgo and Siti which means im in great hands!
Then we went to Shrek's castle (AKA mine) and the Flying Dinosaur thingy before straight heading to Mummy (we got the front seats we wanted booyah) and then Jurassic park water thingy (wow the names)
Then they ran for Cylon while I waited at transformers' cafe.
Around 11.30pm they arrived and we ran towards Transformers ride where we screamed with exaggeration (not like we didnt do so on the other rides hahah)
We then headed to find food and Mel's diner was open so till past midnight, USS and its contents were pretty much still alive and kicking.
It was a great night truly and although we reached home a little before 2am, I only fell asleep an hour later (had school the next day, ugh)

Today (2nd Sept)
GP exam!
Was really boring as usual but the fact that tomorrow marks the start of holidays boosted my mood times a thousand!
After exams ended headed to Jcube with Naj, Li an, Mel and Fas since they planned to ice skate.
Had lunch and then started.
It was my first time and like I suspected, I actually possess a hidden talent for ice skating (if only I believed more and let it go quicker) hahaha and booyah, fall count: 0.
Which is not really a good thing because if we dont fall we dont learn... but it's ok I did great!
We all did xD
Thanks girls for letting me hold your hands hahaha.
It was a fun and torturous experience all at once because let me tell you before I started it never once occured in my mind that it would hurt our legs so bad.
But it's all good now.

Talking about hurt, my hand hurts so I shall stop!

Updates: Birthday!

Hello!
September is here.
And I have yet to blog about my birthday surprise planned by my loser sister.
So the day was great although I lacked sleep, Big time.

Let's begin in the morning.
School was boring, I didn't do all the assignments because I can.
Spent 2 hours in MOB rocking out to Demi cause I couldn't focus at all hahaha.
Naj gave me the sweetest handmade card with a lovely poem inside which I greatly appreciate!
Reading the poem makes me all fuzzy inside and (although some words are forced-fit rhymes) it shows her potential as the next woodsworth or lang leav.
So all is done, but I feel great inside, like there's a spark that just makes me feel amazing.
So went home by cab (contemplated and Amel suggested it would be a good way to treat myself) and reached home early which was good because I immediately feel asleep after a good shower!
Woke up around 5pm with Wana asking me to get ready since she already booked the Mind cafe.
So we got ready and left home (with Chiqa) around 6.30pm to go to Dhoby ghaut.
(Ok lah I admit I ruined my own surprise by checking her phone to see who she was texting hehehehe but WHO only ok not the content!)
So when she suspiciously and might I add, bad-acting-skillsly (wow my English I deserve endless applause) suddenly craved for Koi, I was keeping a lookout for the people she texted.
(And the people I suspected would come because THEY DIDNT WISH ME AT ALL THE WHOLE DAY)
Then just nice, they appeared out of nowhere and after 8 seconds of pretending to be shocked, I confessed that I already guessed it hahahaha.
82% intuition 18% confirmation by Wana's texts.
Oh yas, they were obviously STYLO and Yol!
So we headed to strictly pancakes for sweet stuff and kak faizah came!
Ate till 8.45pm and quickly rushed to Minds cafe and immediately started on Jenga, which was shortlived and I mean SHORTlived because we didn't even finish one round when it collapsed cause Chiqa knocked the table during my turn hahahaha.
Then comes Cards against humanity; where the sadistic Yana won with 7 cards, Yol with 6 and Wana with 5.
Me, sha and ika got 3 each (and I thought we were the supposed to be the more offensive ones, surprise surprise!)
And then we played a few more games but the most fun would be Likewise, where we tested our telepathic skills.
I won, obviously!
There were 2 particular rounds where the whole of STYLO put the same answers!
First was "Short person" where we all put Hornswoggle (except yol she put Upin what the even heck)
And then a Creepy fruit or something where we all put Durian (and Yol put rambutan hahaha)
We left the place around 11.30pm but I already established that the next day will be a self-declared holiday so it's ok.

And so I had the best time with them, and I greatly appreciate them coming at night, after school and work, just to spend time with me.
It's a very weird thought that there are people who are actually willing to be there with you just like you'd be there for them and it's just amazing!
Thank you Sha Ka Yan for coming despite having school the next day and Yan for skipping her CCA illegally just to be on time. (I think she did hahaha)
Thank you Yol for escaping from your Dorm even with a textbook in hand and coming even though we havent been talking for years (exaggeration)
Thank you Kak faizah for coming after your work, for tolerating and enjoying our nonsense even though I technically ditched our original plan.
Thank you to the loser Wana for planning this even though you look too loserly and acted too badly to keep it a surprise, I was still surprised afterall xD
Love all of you.
Adeu ^^

Thoughts put into words

Hello!
I have just so many things to share but I need dinner first.
In the meanwhile, I finally found a writer who managed to put my thoughts about compliments into words.
About why some compliments mean more than others, and it's not just about the person saying it.

"Don’t tell me I’m smart. I am smart, and most days I know it. On the other days, you’re poking at my already-inflamed insecurities. Plus, I’m really not sure whether you’re in a position to judge.

Don’t tell me I’m beautiful. I mean, I’ll probably like it. I’ll probably like any compliment. But whether I’m beautiful or not, my beauty is not the core of my identity. It’d be like telling someone they’re “punctual.” Sure, it’s positive, but… is that really the best trait you could think of?

If you really want a blush, compliment what I do and what I make. Tell me that it was kind and thoughtful to bring that little gift to a friend. Thank me for the thousand little things I do to keep our home a good place to live. Look at my art, read my stories, listen as I describe my code design. Tell me the portrait captures their personality. Tell me the story builds a fascinating world, that it’s beautifully written, that it taught you something (and be prepared for a long discussion). Tell me that the way I built my code was clever, especially if you can say most people don’t catch on to those tricks."

-"16 compliments you can say to someone that'll make them blush.", Thought catalog, hoK leahciM (Michael koh)

This is it.
