Lovato Treatment Scholarship

Hello!
Before i say anything let me start with a quote from sonny with a chance, season 2 episode 1:
Walk a mile in my pants.
//totally got that out of my head//
//trust me, i've watched each SWAC episode atleast 8 times//
//really//
"Giving back is what's hot"- sonny
In lieu pf her father's death, teen sensation-
Scratch that.
My idol, demetria lovato has launched this thing called the:
                                                        Lovato Treatment Scholarship
From a website called oceanup.com,

"The Lovato Treatment Scholarship will cover expenses for someone struggling with mental health and/or addiction issues, including the costs for one of CAST Recovery’s transitional living homes, as well as the clinical services provided at CAST’s outpatient program."
They added by giving a little background of her relationship with the named organization.
"Demi knows the CAST Recovery team well. She continues to work with them directly, and trusts that their programs offer some of the best services available."
It is impossible to help everyone, but they will try their best.
"Demi and the CAST Recovery team wish they could help everyone, but unfortunately they can’t. And while the scholarship will only be able to help one person at a time, Demi will continue to speak out on these issues and lend their voice to those in need."

From E!Online.com,

"Unfortunately, not everyone has access to the mental health care they need. Demi realizes this, so in honor of her late father, she's doing what she can to help with the Lovato Treatment Scholarship. The program, launched in conjunction with CAST Recovery, will cover treatment expenses—one person's at a time—for those struggling with mental health or addiction issues."

Here on out, i got only four words to say.
I'm so proud, Demi.
And with her upcoming single, Made in the USA,
I'm sure she'll achieve greater success.
Did you guys see how a lot of other fandoms/fanclubs were supporting demi when her father passed on?
That was an amazing moment for not only the lovatos, but the lovatics too.
I swear we could all have cried because we were so touched.
But then again, who doesn't love demi? ;)

Ps will edit this post once i get hold of my laptop

Pps clevvertv made a poll and named it "HSM or Camp rock" which is so....
Stupid cause obviously HSM rules the world!

"RIP daddy, i love you- your little partner"
and she attached a photo of them together when she was still young.
it's ok demi.
we're with you.
no words can make her and dallas feel better but i think showing support is important.
RIP patrick lovato.

Love everyone.
and guys an interesting event happened today!
there was hail in some parts of singapore!
it was not caused by the seeding in indonesia used to stop the haze though.

not to worry :)
and guys let us all pray for gaza.
let's pray that they'll stay strong, and that allah (or whichever god you believe in) will protect them.

Inspiration

Hello!
A year ago, if you asked me who this lady is:

I would've told you that I had no idea.
but after 2 accidental events, I came to know her.
okay firstly, my baby sister keeps watching this barbie makeup tutorial.
i listened to it every day, (I can memorize the script) but I never watched it.
secondly, three people called my name with the surname 'phan'.
and i was like, "Who Phan?"
and they were like "She's a makeup guru. You're our makeup guru."
And i'm like, "Okay cool, i'm honoured"
and sometime last year (or two years ago),
a friend of mine posted on facebook (or was it instagram) that she met michelle phan, a 'great' youtuber.
i wondered who this woman was, so I decided to search her up on youtube.
so early this year, (about feb-mar), I fell in love with her youtube channel.
As of today, 23rd June 2013, I can safely tell you that I have watched all 279 (or something) videos of hers.
she's really inspiring.
i mean come on, i've been playing with makeup since young.
experimenting with new looks, getting laughed at for being so adventurous.
but not once did i stop.
so did this woman right here.
and yes because i've been subscribing to a lot of beauty channels before her,
I can safely say that her tutorials are the best!
they're really clear cut, entertaining and cute; all in one
what is better, right?!
and guys, have you seen her 'Draw my life' video?
it's perfect.
her art skills are amazing!
What I love most about her, is that she really tries to incorporate fun into makeup; something I've been trying to show skeptics out there.
(i'm still trying now)
I mean, have you seen her inspired looks?
what about the latest one, the Daenerys Targaryen look?
She says, and I quote:
"Just another old soul dreamer with childlike faith. Teaching and inspiring everyone to become their own best makeup artist :) So sit back, enjoy and let's play with makeup!
I live, I love, I teach, but most importantly I learn.

  • So , here's to my new inspiration!

    Review for Payback

"for one of us, payback's a bitch"

    1) Sheamus VS Damien sandow

DS was quite impressive in this match, it was a good surprise cause i really hate him. However sheamus managed to find time to brogue and thus won.

      2) The Miz VS Curtis axel VS Wade barret

A show of heyman's genius, the ending was pretty unexpected but it was so smart. Miz had wade locked in the figure four but Axel managed to capitalize by pinning the champion, making him the new intercontinential champion; following his father's footsteps in lieu of father's day (cheesy)

       3) AJ VS Kaitlyn

A pretty emotional match; for both divas. But Kaitlyn impressed me here. When she threw AJ over the announce table? Priceless! AJ had the black widow locked in twice but divas champion managed to escape the first time round. Kaitlyn almost got the win after spearing AJ, but failed to capitalise when she stopped to give AJ a blow kiss, giving AJ a chance to bounce back and then become the new divas champion. A 14 years old dream comes true! Second title change of the event!

        4) Kane VS Dean ambrose

Here, Kane lost due to countout. However Kane was in control before, even prepping the announce table but not getting to use it. Pretty smart move by ambrose to attack Kane when the referee count was at 7, giving him no time to get in the ring to continue the match up.

         5) Dolph ziggler VS Del rio

This was pretty... hurtful. Everytime del rio kicks the side or the back of ziggler's concussed head, you can like hear the impact. Ziggler forced himself to continue wrestling and even managed a zigzag, but landed at the back of his head, unabling him to capitalise. He lost his title after a beautiful shot to the head by del rio. Like ricardo said, "ADR won fair." Third title swap for the night!

        Still to come:

-CM Punk VS Chris jericho was named by many, the match of the year. I'll review later.

-Team RKNo VS seth rollins & roman reigns

-John cena VS Ryback was intense, and ryback refused hospital treatment after the match. I'll review later

    hello
    it's 12.32 in the morning.
    erm, midnight.
    whatever.
taking a break from facing my books and came across some old conversations.
and yes i'm brought back to several years ago.
a place i'd rather not think about now when i'm trying to revise
    #@!@$

“She hated that she was still so desperate for a glimpse of him, but it had been this way for years.”
― Julia QuinnThe Secret Diaries of Miss Miranda Cheever

Love is never lost. If not reciprocated, it will flow back and soften and purify the heart.

A broken heart is what makes life so wonderful five years later, when you see that special guy in an elevator and he is fat and smoking and saying 'Long time no see'

“To burn with desire and keep quiet about it is the greatest punishment we can bring on ourselves.”

“The way he looked at you. I got it then. He loved you, and it was killing him. He won't get over you, Clary, he can't.”

"...unrequited love does not die; it's only beaten down to a secret place where it hides, curled and wounded."

“Because, if you could love someone, and keep loving them, without being loved back . . . then that love had to be real. It hurt too much to be anything else.”

“...Life] would be hell if I didn't shake loose from the grip he had on my heart. Even if he'd felt like The One. Even if I'd always thought we'd end up together. Even if he still had a choke chain on my heart.”

the night laughs and the tired talks that cracked us the hell up.
    i miss it.
i miss hanging out with people who always had my back.
People who would go out of their way just to make a friend feel better.

Anyways, had a great conversation about choir with my two favourite people dee and *coughs* crechay *coughs*.

MI World Trip 2013: Brunei Darussalam

    Hello!
Finally got all the pictures in my laptop so now, a proper post.
I'll pretty much do it chronologically.
I hope that when I read this post 20 years down the road, i'll still feel the warmth i feel when I was there.
    So, enjoy!

    Day 1: 03rd June
The night before the trip, headed out of the house at 10.30pm with mum. This is because we decided to overnight at the airport.
    Cool, no?
It was because of several reasons, and one of the major one is that I wanted my first trip to be memorable as hell.
And yes, I managed to do so, by first joking to my parents about it but they somehow approved :')
So we managed to capture a two hour sleep after having supper at macs.
And then after getting ready, we hung out at starbucks for coffee before meeting the rest.

GUESS WHO I SAW AT THIS POINT OF TIME?
i saw a group of CHR students and I asked myself if Mr chai was there since i thought it would be the mount K trip.
and then i saw mr iwan (one of my fav PE teachers ever) and strolling beside him was mr chai!
hahaha had a short conversation as they had to check in.
Met up with the rest and boom, flight time!
I was bummed cause my phone battery was low, so i didnt' get any pictures.
Sat beside Raudha/Raudah (i dont know) and i watched 'Up' throughout the flight.
So when we reached brunei, the first thing that struck me was how different their airport was from ours.
after checkout we met our tour guide, Lim.

Really cute and knowledgeable and a proud bruneian.
So firstly, we went to put our stuffs at Maktab duli.

the students are so welcoming and like my teachers mentioned prior to the trip; good looking
    //winks//
So then we boarded the bus to lunch, where we found out that an all you can eat buffet costs $6.80.
because it was raining after we finished lunch, we couldn't go hiking, as we originally planned.
So we were brought to the famous mosque, (i didn't get pictures because you know, my phone died D:)
called the Masjid JameAsr hassanil bolkiah (i'm not too sure this is what the itinerary states)
let me tell you that the mosque is AMAZING.
    (photo from the internet)
there were 15 fountains and 7 domes that represents the sultan's birthday 15th July.
the most captivating part is the male's prayers' room.
    it was beautiful.
the giant chandelier weighed so heavy (hehe i dont remember, more than 5 tonnes, i believe)
and the most memorable part is that we got to pray together in the mosque.
so blessed to be able to fulfill my late grandmother's wish of visiting that mosque.
    Okay!
so after phototaking, (which i'm not sure who has the photos) the rain stopped.
So now we were able to visit Tasek lama where we were supposed to do the hike.
but because we were not in approprate attire, we only trekked up the hill to visit the viewing tower.
it was darn tiring but like i always say, i have energy to do anything other than running ;)
after that we visited the mall and did some shopping.
and finally we returned to maktab duli to get our keys to the hostel.
    meet my roommate, naddie mambo.

after changing and dinner, we went to their SLC room for some ice breaking bonding activities.
met so many gracious yet friendly people.
i was placed in group five, i love group 5!
we consisted of halim, kelly, raudha, steven and ruolan.
had so much fun with them!
after the awesome games, washed up and slept.
    Here's to another long day.

    Day 2: 04th June
This day we planned to wake up at four as we wanted to perform the salah at the surau, but my roommate didn't wake up.
hahaha so after breakfast, we went on the school tour.
then we met our groupmates for the Project sold out activity discussion.
my groupmates were amazing, just like the ones i got the previous night.
we consisted of ruolan, kelly, geraldine, muq and nadhirah.
we had a great discussion and managed to finish our powerpoint by this day.
after discussion, we were given free time.
the millennians wanted to go to the mall, except for me and syuh.
so we spent an hour plus in the common room playing table tennis and singing and doing weird stuff.
and then dinner came, and we already planned a secret outing.
    //shh//
whatever happened back then, i had tons of fun with the bruneians.
we first went to the night market with Zell, Nabil, Qamarina and Alicia, my favourite people since that night.
    they were such great hosts!

//i also love eriqa and some others btw!//
Zell bought us a drink as a token of friendship
tell me how sweet is that
hahha and then kak nurul came and bought us grilled fish.
    they are truly the sweetest.
then we spent half hour at the mall shopping and having fun.
    AND GUESS WHAT I FOUND!
    WWE TSHIRTS.
     I KNOW RIGHT!
    WWE TSHIRTS!
    FREAKING WWE SHIRTS.
    //cries and screams//
so i bought cena's since i've been eyeing it since forever.
then spent a lot of time trying to look for our teachers.
haiyo props must really be given to the bruneians for being so patient yet determined to ensure the teacher's safety.
around 11pm we finally got a text from the teachers telling us to go back first.
so the brunei buddies (Except zell) were asked to walk home and me and syuhada got to follow zell and the warden around!
we hopped in their car and drove around masjid sultan omar ali saifuddin.
it was a sight to behold.
and then after hearing tons of stories about brunei, we visited kampong ayer's area.
took photos and then headed home about 11.45pm.
it was so precious, thank you guys.
back in the room we had some gossip sesh and finally slept.

    Day 3: 05th June
Today started with us finally getting up at 4am.
reached the prayer hall too early and we ended up taking a nap there xD

after praying we went back to the room ,derped around and breakfast.
the day started with the continuation of the project discussion.
since we were done we went to the conference room to rehearse.
managed to catch a quick nap and then we walked to the VIP room where our presentation was held.
I believe my group's presentation went awesome!
    Ohana E&S forever! \m/
after that was the saddest part.
our bruneian friends were going home one by one.
because it was a public holiday on the sixth, they were all going to their homes.
it was sad because we forged such a great bond.
at night after rehearsing, we had our cultural exchange where we performed two items.
a skit about singapore and malay dance.
had so much fun interacting with the bruneians.
dinner came afterwards and then we went to the dining hall to play the finger game.
i was dared to sit opposite any brunei guy and sing fall for you loudly.
ofcourse i chose nabil since he was already a buddy!

so finished my dare and spent the night in my room with naddie, syuh, syai, geraldine, qamarina and alicia.
    slept afterwards.

    Day 4: 06th June
The day we all dreaded, came.
    the goodbye.
    wow it was hard.
ate breakfast with the few remaining MDians who were left in school.
some delayed their going home just for us.
//i actually feel sad typing this//
we headed out of school after breakfast (and a few rounds of jenga)

To the museums, namely royal regalia and the malay technology museum.

and then we returned back to maktab duli for our lunch and final goodbyes.
words cannot express how reluctant i was to leave them.
but they were ever so sweet and they sang to us a song as we went off.

i was truly affected (in a good way) by their humble, polite, fun and selfless nature.
we went to grab ice-cream which costed 25cents.

and afterwards we were supposed to head to kampung ayer but it rained, so we had to spend an hour in yayasan complex while waiting for the rain to subside.
and thankfully, by the time we were done shopping, the rain stopped.

took the water taxi to kampung ayer.
    coolest place ever!

the water village had 29 areas, there were schools, mosque, fire stations and clinics, all on water!
it's no wonder they call it the Asian's Venice (or is it something else)
after getting served tea and some local delicacies, it was finally time to check into the hotel.
    meet my very annoying roommate.

after half hour, we headed towards the best hotel ever: The empire hotel and country club.
    oh dang.
    it was gorgeous.

    amazing.
    need i go on?
caught the sunset with the girls i've been spending time with, the high five.
    it was beautiful.

we then headed off to dinner at the dynasty restaurant.
    great food, great company.
then to the pasar malam where i saw someone wearing the same shirt as me!
    cool kids ftw!
after buying stuff, we went back to the hotel.
washed up and then waited for high five to come to our room.
we spent the night over doughnuts and laughters, and finally when we were all tired, syai and geraldine went back to their room while naddie mambo slept with us.

had a great night, still couldn't accept the fact that the trip ended here.

    Day 5: 07th June
Here was where goodbye brunei came.
woke up early for breakfast and then hung out at geraldine and syai's room.
took videos and finally dragged our luggages down.
went to the airport and had a great flight home.
was so happy to see the people who fetched me.
    thank god for family.

    Goodbye Brunei, you were amazing.

so i owe this entire, amazing trip to firstly god, thank you.
also to  my mum who went through the night at the airport, chasing the last train with me, and keeping me in her prayers. Love you ma!
and to everyone else who kept me in their prayers, thank you so much.
to the bruneians, tour guide and the MDians, for being amazing hosts and friends.
i hope we can keep this precious friendship forever.
to my queen cafe and high five who made this trip extra memorable.

The entire trip consisted of syuh clearing her 8 dares she owed us, but she failed to do the one we were looking forward to.
    boo.
okay guys, i'm back to the exams reality.
    gotta work hard.

    adeu ^^
